SILENT AUCTION

We are sending out a plea to all parents to consider helping out with the canvassing and collection of items for this very popular event.  We all know how expensive gas is today and how little extra time volunteers have to give but working as a team we may solve some of the challenges facing the Silent Auction event. 

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP YOU ASK?

 

1.  Do you own a business? If so consider donating an item, service or promotional specialty item for the auction.  This is a great way not only to support your child’s school but also to get great PR!

 

2.  Consider asking your employer if they would like to donate an item.  There are a lot of employers who would like the opportunity to show their employee’s that they care about what is going on in their community.

 

3.  Consider donating one of your own original creations.  It is amazing to see all the talented people right here in our community.  Original creations have been a great success in the past.

 

4.  We have all received gifts we cannot use.  Rather then risk the embarrassment of re-gifting you could donate them to this worthy cause.

 

Items donated for the auction must be new.  Please let us know ASAP if you are able to provide an item for the auction.  Official school canvassing and item notification forms are available on the school web site or at the school office.  We compile a sponsor list to be handed out the day of the event and need to start ASAP.  Actual items can start coming into the school office on October 13^th and should be in by October 20^th.  Note some employers may offer money, cheque to be made out to Bayview Community School.  Official school board receipts are only available for cash donations of $50.00 or more.  You will note there is a list of businesses which our Silent Auction committee will canvass.  Any additional businesses you can canvass will be most appreciated.
